"We bring nature into the room."
Host Karin Hettegger
The architecture and design concept is described by the couple Karin and Peter Hettegger as alpine-chic in an elegant style. Three main materials are used: wood, natural materials and glass. Large window fronts allow plenty of daylight and open up views of the Großarl mountains. "We bring nature into the room," says host Karin Hettegger. The oak wood flooring, laid in an elaborate herringbone pattern, creates a high-quality and inviting look. The aim of the refined interior design is to convey a homey and cozy ambience to visitors. The new look was planned with great attention to detail, with the hosts contributing their ideas. While Peter Hettegger was in close exchange with the architects on the floor plan, the lighting concept and the choice of materials, his wife Karin gave the rooms a tasteful character by means of charming color combinations and selected decorative elements. The wall decoration of wallpaper, picture frames and wood paneling is more daring than in the existing residential units and thus sets modern accents.
