A family holiday at DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort is guaranteed to be a truly special experience. Since July 2023, guests can enjoy the new Family Spa and explore the redesigned children’s area, which features four different zones tailored to every age group. For those who love the great outdoors, Großarltal offers numerous family-friendly hiking trails, which are particularly stunning in the golden hues of autumn.

1.The water slides
Anyone who has visited DAS EDELWEISS before knows that the five water slides spanning three floors are a huge highlight for the entire family. Competitive family races are inevitable – who will clock the fastest time? For those seeking an extra adrenaline rush, the 105-metre tube slide with a half-pipe and funnel promises a thrilling ride. And, of course, there’s also a gentler slide designed for our youngest guests.

2. Family Mountain Spa
The mirrored ceiling in the indoor pool of the Family Mountain Spa enchants guests of all ages, while the two family-friendly saunas (textile saunas) offer a gentle introduction to sauna culture. Those looking for a moment of peace and relaxation can retreat to the cosy tipi tents or snuggle corners.

3. EDELWEISS Kinderwelt

Children and teenagers can let off steam and relax on over 1,000 square meters in the newly designed and enlarged EDELWEISS Kinderwelt. A team of caring supervisors, little explorers, and endless fun come together in the play areas of our hotel in Salzburger Land. At our hotel with childcare in Großarl, every child will find an exciting and age-appropriate activity. The extensive range of games and fun ranges from a ball pool and seesaws for the little ones to an indoor football pitch, interactive games (iWall etc.) and a bouldering wall. There is something for every age and every interest.

4. Hiking in the “Valley of the alpine pastures”

You will have plenty of opportunities to spend a day in the mountains on idyllic, well-developed hiking trails in throughout Großarltal. The valley invites you to explore 40 alpine pastures in the marvellous mountain world of the Salzburg Alps. The mountain adventure world is an adventure for the whole family.
