GROßARL CABLE CARS

In 15 minutes to an altitude of almost 2,000m

The state-of-the-art 10-person cable car, Kieserlbahn, takes you from the valley to the summit plateau of the Kieserl (1,954 m) in just about 15 minutes, covering more than 1,000 vertical metres. The lift also connects with snow-sure slopes on the Großarl side and leads to the ski area of Roslehenalm. A new direct ski connection from Kieserl to Dorfgastein has also been added, bringing the two towns of Großarl and Dorfgastein even closer together.

In the 16th century, the Kössler family, who worked as miners, lived in the Kösslerhäusl. To this day, the impressive wooden building has been preserved at its original location in Großarl, maintaining its historical charm.

 

Every Friday, the farmer's wife, Eva, prepares homemade Bauernkrapfen – definitely worth a try!
